Quentin, or Q as he was always known, was born in England in 1973 and moved with his parents to New Zealand in 1975, living first on Waiheke Island and then in Titirangi, West Auckland.
He went to school at Michael Park - the Steiner school in Ellerslie - and later Green Bay High School. He had good friends and many interests during his childhood and teenage years but his love of the outdoors, gardening and above all, bee keeping, were perhaps the strongest and most enduring.
THEN, in May 1992, Q went missing from his home in Titirangi. He walked out the door one afternoon to go to his after-school job and has never been seen since.
We scoured the bush, land and beaches. We followed every trace. Family, friends, police, strangers - they all helped and did their utmost to find him.
We had posters in windows around the country, articles in newspapers and magazines. We did prime time TV – Crimewatch and a documentary about missing people.
The West Auckland police were fantastic but could only go on information available to them.
But since May 1992, nothing has been seen or heard of him. There were rumours and sightings but nothing conclusive, nothing we could verify.
There are still no answers to the question - where is Q?
